Salon Policies
Life can throw you curveballs at times and we totally understand that every now and then things don’t work out as planned! So to make life super easy for both you and us, we love to remain flexible while still having a few policies in place to ensure smooth sailing for you, and to ensure your appointment is relaxing and enjoyable.
We greatly appreciate your support of our salon business and we will endeavour to provide the utmost professional service to you at every appointment.
For your ease, we offer text confirmation of your appointment which you will receive 3 day before. Please note: it is an automated system and can only receive “YES” or “NO” responses, not personal messages.
When booking an appointment, you’re reserving dedicated time with your stylist. We value our team’s time, and giving at least 48 hours notice allows us to offer the appointment to another client. To help, we send reminders 72 hours in advance.
We understand life happens and unexpected things pop up. We’ll always aim to be reasonable and encourage open communication.
Cancellations & Fees:
• 48+ hours’ notice – No fee
• Less than 48 hours’ notice – 50% of the appointment value maybe charged
• No-show or same-day cancellation – 100% maybe charged
Deposits will be applied toward these fees where applicable. Any outstanding fees must be paid before rebooking. Repeated late cancellations or no-shows may require prepayment for future bookings.
Notice periods are calculated from your appointment time, not business hours. If you need to reschedule, please contact us as soon as possible.

If you’re running late, we get that! We’ll try our very best to work around it. However, we do run by appointment, and therefore late arrivals of 15 minutes or more may be unable to be serviced if it will affect other clients bookings, and if so, the cancellation policy will apply.
To respect our team’s time and other clients:
• Late cancellation (less than 48 hours’ notice) – 50% of the appointment value may be charged
• No-show or same-day cancellation – 100% of the appointment value may be charged
• Deposits will be applied toward these fees where applicable
• Any outstanding fees must be paid before rebooking

Our highly trained technicians provide professional colour results using the finest products available. That’s why we highly recommend you use the suggested home hair-care products tailored to your hair- we can’t 100% guarantee lasting results otherwise! Swimming regularly can also affect the lasting-results of your hair colour.
Because we want to guarantee you the best results possible, Colour Corrections will require an in-salon, thorough consultation before the appointment is made. If you are thinking of a big colour change please call the salon (04) 233 0005, and we’ll invite you in for a consult before-hand.
In the very unlikely scenario that you come across a problem with the service you received, we aim to work with you toward a solution or replace a product at no charge, within 1 (one) week of the report of the fault.
If you’d like a quote, we recommend you schedule a complimentary consultation with a Glo Hairdressing team member before your appointment. That way, you can work together with your stylist and plan what’s best for your hair, and obtain a quote for the exact services and products to be used on your hair. There may be additional charges for extra time or product depending on length or thickness of hair. NB: All prices include GST. All prices are subject to variation without notice.
By booking online with GLO Hair, you consent to us collecting and securely storing your personal information, including your name, contact details, appointment history, service notes, and payment information. This allows us to confirm and manage your bookings, send appointment reminders, securely process deposits and payments, and apply cancellation fees in line with our Cancellation Policy.
Payment details are encrypted and processed through our trusted booking and payment providers. GLO Hair does not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We only share information with essential service providers required to operate our booking and payment systems.
We take your privacy seriously and are committed to protecting your information.
